Quotation of the Week 26/2010

DSCN6486-1

A man would do well to carry a pencil in his pocket, and write down the thoughts of the moment. Those that come unsought are commonly the most valuable, and should be secured, because they seldom return.

~Francis Bacon (1561-1626)~

Great capture of the bee!!! Do you know what kind it is? Hey, we think alike, I have a bee on my blog today, too! Yes, this quote is sooo good! And how about those great ideas in bed just before or after sleep. They are fleeting, then I can remember I had a good idea, but not what it was!

I think it's some kind of fly rather than a bee. I'm not even sure of the name of the flower, I know what I'd spontaneously call it in Swedish but when I look in my book there are five pages full of very similar-looking ones. I decided not to dive into that but just use the picture as a symbol of those thoughts that flutter by and land for a moment... On occasion we manage to "catch" them but not always.

I keep a special notebook too where I write down quotes and other things I might use in blogging. I also keep a notepad by my bed. Sometimes though I jot down something there and later when I look at it I have no idea what I meant... ;)

Very nice! Both the photo and the quote!

No pencil and paper = no memory. That's provided I can remember where I put the pencil! Seriously I've done that since I was a teenager.
