And So We All Went Missing

yesterday's post for more info.

I just spent a looooong time trying to figure out why Followers weren't showing up at my new blog.

Not that I expected a lot of them, yet - since I did not even tell anyone it existed until yesterday! - but I knew I was at least following myself... and when I first put the Followers gadget in place, I showed up. Now I don't. Not yesterday, and not today.

Then I went back to this blog and found that there was no one here, either. Then I went to Soaring Through the World, and the world was empty. Then I went looking for the people who used to hang around, and thankfully I find them all at home each at their own place; but no one seems to have any Followers any more.

Do you all feel as lost as I do?
(It seems from the Blogger Help forum that a lot of people are having the same problem. But no Explanation.)

Picture from our walk in the woods on Sunday afternoon,
compare Sunday and Monday posts. (We did not get lost.)

Hi. I haven't been on blogger for quite some time but I should be updating again semi-regularly and checking in on my favourite blogs again as well. Anyway, I'll definitely check out your new photo blog. Bye for now!

Hi Pan... Glad to see you - and quite funny that you should show up on this of all posts! (LOL) I was actually thinking about you just the other day, wondering if maybe I should try leaving a message on your last post... but didn't get round to it. Maybe Blogger has added a secret telepathy widget?

At least they managed to restore the Followers widget which now seems to be working again on all my blogs, including the new one. :)

I know how you feel.

I'm noticing less and less "hits" and comments to my posts. I feel as though my writing is no longer of interest. But, the other day, I thought I heard there are over 200,000,000 blogs on the www. I know my rankings on technorati, which were never anything to write home about, have slipped. a concerted effort has to be made to maintain and publicize your blog and it is alot of work. i continue to write but cannot take the time to do the other stuff.

California Girl... My complaints yesterday were really about a technical problem - Followers weren't visible in their widget, neither on my own blogs nor on other people's that I visited... They're back today - after a lot of nagging from a lot of frustrated Blogger users at the Help forum over at least two days of technical problems. I was mostly irritated that I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what *I* (or my own computer) was doing wrong - when it really wasn't me at all. The post was not meant to be a complaint about lack of interest from the readers/follwers that I have; only that they had suddenly all gone "invisible"! ;)

I too noticed that all the followers had disappeared but couldn't be bothered doing anything about it and now, as you say, they've all come back. That's Blogger for you!
